About the Artist

The namesake of this site is Athena; the goddess of wisdom, civilization, warfare, strength, strategy, female arts, crafts, justice and skill.

Sheryl takes her inspiration from those traits and from her family.  Sheryl spent her childhood split between Wyoming and Indiana.  She married an Indiana Hoosier and moved to California where she and her family reside today.  Sheryl has one daughter and in January of 2011 was blessed with a grandson.

As women we all aspire to nurture and create.  We are strong in our hope for peace and justice in life.  We set an example for the world of what to strive for in attaining those traits to bring balance and joy to our life and the lives of others.
